  • How would you expand a business to another state?

I need some guideance from the biznik group.

Our company brokers an Internet Marketing solution that is completely turn key through MAWebcenters.com and once constructed by the company, it allows the business owner to have full control of the site using a WYSIWYG interface. It's a proprietary web solution that is table-based website(not templates) that uses CSS style sheets and allows for direct coding as well as SEO customizations (for the web guys out there.) I don't want to go into all the details of the system here since it's not relevant, but you can review it on our website at http://www.trinitysolutionsinc.com/web_solution.html

My question is "How do we go about expanding our distribution of this service outside of North Carolina into other states?" or "How do we find additional brokers / independent contractors to help us increase distribution?"

We would really love to have associated brokers in other states that could market the solution, but how do we go about finding these people?

How would you do it? Certain websites? Post in newspaper? E-mail blasts? We don't want to spend money on headhunters or recruiters since the person is going to be working for themselves as an independent contractor and not as our employee.

And, how do we make sure that they have the right stuff to broker this solution since we wouldn't be there? We don't need geeks, but we do need people who can talk to a business owner, preferably business owners who are within 50 - 100 miles of the new broker. We would train them, but we don't want to hold their hands and wouldn't be able to since we won't be there locally. How have you handled this situation?

I'd love some feedback on this. Our business is really looking to expand (even during a recession), but we want to do it right. You can reply to this post or contact me directly at ron.pierce@trinitysolutionsinc.com / 866-800-4060 x 4 with any ideas you might have.

Thanks in advance for all your suggestions.

  • Looking for REALLY UGLY WEBSITES!!!

Ok... I'm looking for some really ugly websites. I mean the kind of websites that make you want to tell "Ugly Mama" jokes just to get those sites out of your mind.

If you have seen an ugly website lately or you believe that the company you work for has the UGLIEST website around, shoot a link.

Here are three to start the show:
