What Rosa does

Tortilla Designs |tort'eia designs| is a graphic design studio specializing in unique, affordable solutions for people who like to have a personalized product with their own stamp. After several years playing with Adobe, Xara and other software programs, Rosa decided to embark on the journey known as Tortilla Designs. The name came from a nickname, because a certain brand of tortillas has the phrase "Tia Rosa" which means Aunt Rosa. Some friends thought that "tortilla" was a great nickname and so it stuck, which then lent its name to the graphic design business.

In late 2006 Tortilla Designs (TD) was birthed to meet the needs of small businesses, urban churches, and non-profits. TD has successfully completed projects for photo histories, brochures, marketing materials, booklets, invitations, scrapbook pages, and many other printed and digital designs. Since 2006 Tortilla Designs has branched into creating semi-custom and custom designs.

Tortilla Designs creates graphic design templates for aspiring do it yourselfers; people like brides who want beautifully themed designs for an affordable price and the convenience to print at home.

Education

Ummm I'm a bit of a professional student:

Associate in Science in Nursing, Excelsior College, Expected December 2009; Master in Health Care Management, University of Phoenix, December 2007; Master in Business Administration, University of Phoenix, June 2007; Practical Nursing Certificate, Clover Park Technical College, 2005; BS Genetics & Cell Biology, Washington State University, 2002

Experience

I have had a life long fascination with design, crafts, and objects of beauty. I have worked with graphic design programs since 2002, first as part of a research team, where I created photo plates for publications. Several Photoshop classes and many hours later I was hooked on creating digital media. I launched my graphic design business in the end of 2006 after years of doing graphic design as a hobby. I have created graphic solutions in digital, print, and video media for non-profits, churches, small business, brides, family members, friends and many others. I love to create!
