Are you interested in learning and educating yourself in green built home design and practices? If you are a contractor, builder, real estate agent, mortgage broker ... you should take a long, hard look in the direction this market is headed. Remember, 70 billion dollars has been earmarked and invested by the federal government for green, alternative energy research and development. There will be a large pradigm shift in building and construction practices and it's in all of our best interest to educate ourselves in this arena, so that we can better serve our clients and customers.

That being said, I am conducting the first of a multiple series of tours, to the "Green Concept Home" presently under construction in Bellevue. Owners David Huang and Millie Leung have graciously offered me the opportunity to bring tours to the construction site to see, first hand, the eco-building practices going into this BuiltGreen home.

The first scheduled tour will be next Thursday, November 12th at 10:00 am. We will be seeing the radiant in-floor heating being installed in the ground floor (in cement). Radiant in-floor heating improves the indoor air quality of the home, as it does not require the use of "forced air", which can distribute allergens and molds through the air.
