What Sara does
I help people who are feeling disconnected from their bodies. I offer an alternative, body-centered way of coping with high levels of stress, trauma, or anxiety. Working in partnership with my clients, we focus on grounding them in their bodies, balancing their neurochemistry, and releasing some of the physical holdings that these issues can leave behind in the body.
What Sara does best
I create space. My belief is that truly great bodywork can serve as a meditation on the body, and can be deeply therapeutic for those who are feeling stuck up in their heads, or disconnected from themselves entirely.
Rather than sticking with one modality of bodywork, I like to play with a blend of styles and come up with the appropriate combination for the person on the table and the treatment they need on that particular day.
Many of my clients are dealing with chronic pain, post traumatic stress disorder, or are in recovery from a long-standing eating disorder. The effects that massage can have on these issues are profound, and I am grateful to be able to share them with people.
What does Sara need?
I am currently accepting massage clients of any type, although my passion really lies in working with those individuals who are seeking greater harmony between their mind and their body.
If you know someone who is struggling with chronic pain, post traumatic stress disorder, or is in recovery from an eating disorder, I urge you to get in touch with me. I see clients in Capitol Hill and on Mercer Island, and I have evening and weekend appointments available. I accept most forms of insurance and offer a sliding scale.
