I am a member of a very old profession; innkeeping. My husband and I own a small Bed and Breakfast just outside La Conner in the Skagit Valley. We were recently chosen by The Lonely Planet Guide to the PNW as their only recommended place to stay in La Conner. I would describe our typical guest as an "artsy, literary foodie". We also seem to be very popular with lesbian bird-watchers. Really.

  My husband, Jack Fecker, and I just this past weekend, happened upon Queen of the Valley Bed & Breakfast. We had an incredible overnight in a King bed like a cloud and awoke to a scrumptuous country breakfast.
  

  The Inn is a few minutes from the town of La Conner and each room is filled with light with views of the sky, mountains and surrounding countryside.
  

  As if that wasn't enough, the highlight of the whole trip was meeting the Innkeeper herself, Shelly Davis, an extraordinary entrepreneur! We would venture that a trip to La Conner is worth the destination of meeting the Innkeeper...and then you have all the rest as a bonus!

  We highly recommend getting away from it all for a day or two and giving yourself the gift of the Queen of the Valley Inn... and also Shelly Davis....the Queen....of the Queen of the Valley Inn!
