One reason Steve Brotman is such a good partner for start-up companies is because of his own personal experience as a successful entrepreneur. Prior to his work in venture capital, Steve Brotman was the Founder, CEO, and Chairman of AdOne Classified Network. Steven Brotman's intelligent leadership of the company, which was considered one of the leading classified ad websites in the nation, earned him a spot on Crain's New York's annual "40 under 40" issue and eventually led to a large-scale merger with Powerdz Media to form PowerOne Media.

In addition to directly advising his own portfolio of start-up companies, Steve Brotman has taken on numerous leadership roles in the greater VC and entrepreneurial world. In addition to being a board member of the Venture Investors Association of New York, Steve Brotman sits on the board of the MIT Enterprise Forum and is a judge for the Columbia Business School Lang and Greenhouse Funds.
