  • Support Independent film!

Let me be more specific. Support my independent film. Hey, no need to mince words here. I'm independent film producer / director who is attempting to harness the internet and the masses to get my film funded. Have you heard of the Million Pixels guy. Well, I've basically copied his idea. He paid for college. I'm trying to pay for my film. Either way, please check it out. http://www.valleyofthesunthemovie.com.

I'm really excited about this form of film financing because it connects filmmaker to the general public. The general public can directly get involved with filmmaking and for very little money financially support filmmakers.

I also believe its a great way to advertise because when the film is made it will perpetually drive traffic to the film's homepage where sit links to our sponsors websites.

Check it out and let me know what you think. Any ideas you have. Feedback. Or just tell me I'm a fool. Either way, I'd love to hear from you.

  • It's time for motion picture

I think we are on the verge of something new and I am excited. I've been in the motion picture film business for almost ten years now and for the first time I'm finally seeing that it could be my industry's time to take advantage of the internet. Finally, the bandwidth is here.

My company, Hotbed Media, produces commercials and branded content for companies large and small. Lately, I've seen a sudden jump in clients calling up my company up and saying, "I want a video!" Sometimes it can be a bit painful because most new clients don't know what putting together a motion picture project entails. But, I'm happy to hold their hand through the process because I'm so excited that more people are finally feeling they can access this great medium.

While motion picture still isn't cheap, it is less expensive. As a company that produces motion picture I can now offer my clients lower cost solutions that allow them to dip their toes in. Ultimately, because of the Internet and the every increasing bandwidth, I believe every company has the opportunity to be its own broadcast station... broadcasting its identity and message to the world. I'm excited to help them do it.
