What susan does

For the past seventeen years, Susan Harrow has run Harrow Communications, a media coaching and marketing firm in Northern California whose clients range from CEOs to soccer moms, reality TV stars to rock star wives.

Susan specializes in presentation and media coaching, and creating marketing strategies for Fortune 500 CEOs, Internet millionaires, world renowned speakers, best-selling authors and successful entrepreneurs whose work has passion and heart.

Her criteria for working with clients is that they are either socially conscious, irascibly contentious, or incredibly fun.

She has also worked with award-winning documentary film producers, leaders in banning racism, maverick publishers and people in unusual occupations such as The Ganja Guru, a Jesuit priest, an actor in the movie "The Secret", and an Ayurvedic chef. See client list here.

Susan has media coached people who have appeared on CBS' 60 Minutes, Oprah, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Fox News, Bill O'Reilly, Donny Deutsch, Extra!, New Attitudes, E! The Entertainment Channel, Donny & Marie, Bloomberg Radio Network, Net Cafe, The Lifetime Channel, Howard Stern, CNN, CSPAN, PBS and many other national and syndicated shows.

What susan does best

Listen. I'm intensely curious. I want to know more about you.

Experience

Susan Harrow was born to a gypsy mother who read people's futures on their faces. She inherited her mother's gift for seeing what is most important in a person. Her father was a marionette maker who taught Susan to go through life with no strings attached.

She uses her own life, which explodes with contradictions, to help others make sense of theirs for the media.

She has lived the life of a celibate monk, a wild woman, a vegetarian, a carnivore, an au pair in Paris, an English teacher, a tennis pro, a jewelry designer, a sales rep, a publicist, a media coach and marketing strategist, and is constantly discovering new roles to try.

She was almost sold into slavery to a Bedouin Sheik in Israel for 10 camels and a mule, chased by elephants in Africa, loved by the leader of the Anarchist party in Italy, narrowly escaped drowning while rafting down the Zambezi river in class five rapids, recruited by the CIA but decided she didn't want to leap tall buildings in Bolivia in a single bound, and so elected to teach English at Mission High School in San Francisco, instead. On her first day of teaching she saved a student from being knifed in the hallway, and miraculously escaped her tenure there without any visible flesh wounds.

Which all made the perils of publicity seem sweet.

For the past 17 years, Susan Harrow has run a media coaching and marketing firm which specializes in promoting executives, authors, speakers, entrepreneurs, and dot coms whose projects have a lot of passion and heart.
