What Susan does

I make your work simple, fast and easy so you can liberate time. I custom design systems and processes that match how you naturally think and work. Anyone can be organized - everyone gets organized in a different way. It's not about your stuff or what you desk looks like - its about flow and how well the systems and processe support how you do what you do.

If you're feeling overwhelmed and overworked, get stressed and frustrated with some work activities, have tasks you ignore or postpone longer that you should or when you do them you have a sense that there has to be an easier way I can help.

I work exclusively with businesses and invest a significant amount of my time studying business theory and practices so my knowledge base extends beyond just organzing your desk.

What Susan does best

What I do best is analyze, diagnose, design and then implement solutions to simplify accomplishing tasks and projects.

One of my market differentiators is that I inlcude a future awareness component to my work. The world is changing faster than it ever has before. As business owners we have to learn how to run our businesses in the way a monkey moves through the jungle - mostly in the now but constantly letting go of the past position to swing forward to a new one. I actively look at what is going on in science and industry around the world to glimpse the possibilities that can help my clients generate ideas and innovations to keep pace with change.

I am very good and taking either very confusing, disparate or highly technical information and seeing the 'short thread' in the chaos that will get you to the desired outcome the quickest.

What does Susan need?

I am looking for a core group of b-2-b professionals who are marketing to a similar group of Portland area small businesses to be part of my master networking group. The goals would be to share leads, brainstorm and support each other in helping our businesses grow, and provide a sort of virtual board of directors.

I am also looking for speaking opportunties with local business asssociations. I have a new and really interesting talk on the importance of future awareness for business owners so if you belong to a group looking for speakers let me know.

Education

I have a BS from UCONN - I actually use the mechanics of how botanists identify plants as a methodology for designing filing systems that really work.

I served 13 years on the national board of directors for the National Association of Professional Organizers, founded the Oregon Chapter, contribute to the national newsletter and present at their conferences.

I have also taken art classses of various kinds through local community education - it helps me be a whole-brain thinker able to draw equally on the left/linear and right/creative side of the brain which improves my idea and solution generating capabilities.

Experience

I have been working with local area businesses for 22 years to make the most of their talents and time. I am an industry leader participating regularly

While core activities include designing and implementing systems for setting up efficient workstations, storing paper and electronic information the real fun for me is helping clients have fun with their business again. People don't start businesses because they love paperwork and all the work it takes to run a business - most of the time those necessary activities become the time thieves and deal breakers and they don't need to be - I can help.

I can work in any industry because we work together to design solutions - you know your industry - I can engineer ways to make it simple, fast and easy.
