  • Be the cover story on WE Magazine!

I saw this on HARO and thought this would be a good place to notify you all. It's a contest (their first ever), and it costs $20 to enter, but if you are looking for some BIG publicity, this would be a good place to start. It's likely that some of the businesses who don't win the cover story will be included in the magazine in other stories.

    Good luck!

  • Working and writing out of the office

I'd like to know what ways you all have to work efficiently from home or outside of your home office. I am looking for ways to keep myself focused and work away from home.

What are your perfect venues, times of day, schedules, suggestions?

    Cheers! Suzanne www.ThatWordsmith.com

  • Writing an Engaging Profile

I'd love to give some tips on how to write a profile that is dynamic, eye-catching, and reflects the writer's personality.

Maybe you want to show that you are "creative and quirky," but not "weird or flaky."

Or you're in a traditional, suit and tie industry and want to look professional and current, but not stodgy or "way out there."

It's often hard for people to write about themselves. We love tooting other folks' horns, but tooting our own can be tricky.

Once you get the hang of it, you can apply the same techniques to other writing projects, and have a little more fun along the way.

If enough people are interested (5 or 6 or 12), I'll set up a workshop where we can present what we have, work up ideas to improve it, take time to think and write, and then come back with a new version to discuss.

    Anyone interested?

  • Are You Going to the Company Picnic? Why? Why Not?

I'd love to see a roster of who will be at the Company Picnic event on September 25th. I've grown accustomed to this feature for all biznik events and miss it when I go to non-bizzies.

So, sign in here, please, if you have bought or are buying a ticket online ($39), or at the door ($49). Is that a good price for an event like this?

Oh, and if you are not going, please tell me why.

I'm in no way affiliated with this gig, just really curious. It looks like a big, fun event, but is it worth fifty bucks?
