Amazing, as usual, Karen. Thanks for taking us on a difficult and eye opening journey into ourselves. Your workshops are always worthwhile, effective, and useful. Thanks!
Great tips Nancy! Looking at the bio from your prospective clients' POV is essential. And the right snappy text for your audience can create intrigue and exploration of your site and services. Good advice! Suzanne Griscom www.ThatWordsmith.com
This is such a fantastic workshop, I am coming back for more! What a great venue, too.
Wow! What a great list. Thanks Nancy!
If anyone in this group is interested in starting a walk, please feel free to post one.
Cheers!
Ah, nuts. Let me know if anyone drops out. Thanks! Suzanne www.thatwordsmith.com

Susan, thanks for coming to the workshop! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I'm so glad you joined biznik yesterday! What lovely serendipity.
Cheers! Suzanne
What a great group! I'm looking forward to facilitating a dynamic and creative writing event where everyone walks away with at least the beginnings of a more interesting and distinct bio than you have now.
Writing is a process, so consider this a strong running start, with a possible sprint to the finish line, but more likely completing the first leg or two of a relay race.
We will wrestle with several tough questions, take several pages of notes, for ourselves and one another, and begin the internal process of defining who we are and what we really do.
Here's a question for everyone to consider:
If you had to describe your business/yourself, what it/you do/provide/sell...in only one word, what would it be?
Is it a verb like, "provide, improve, install, deliver, transform, meld, change, relieve, build, create, ..." or an adjective like, "lively, soothing, green, smooth, fresh, formal, engaging...?"
Jot down whatever words come to mind now, and again a day or two before the event and bring it with you on Friday (the 24th).
Cheers! Suzanne
ARGH! Sorry. Friday, July 24th. The 24th of July. It's a Friday. Not the 17th, but the Friday after that. The 24th. Of July. 2009. In two weeks. Not one. On the 24th. At 10am.
Sorry for all the confusion. What a month.
Thanks for the heads-up, Edwina!
Get ready to write!
Cheers! Suzanne
Please, let me know if anyone cancels! I'd love to join you for this. Cheers! Suzanne www.ThatWordsmith.com

Please bring a copy of any current profiles you are using.

Sorry about the date change, folks. I'm having trouble connecting with the Mosaic person in charge of the Den (i.e., not getting any mesages returned), but I will persevere. :-)
Turns out I will be hosting at another time. I didn't get the time at the Den, so I'll be rescheduling this event. I'll post here as soon as I get a new date.
Glad to hear you are getting better, Nancy! A list of north end walks would be terrific. Cheers!
What a cool group of writers I met today! Thank you all for being yourselves. This was a meeting of some great minds and talent. I look forward to seeing and working with you all in the future.

Thanks for the input Tina and Malya. I'll come up with a walk that works for most of us. Cheers! S
Terrific article, Christin! I look forward to reading your next one.
Thank you for telling it like it is. The truth is sometimes the hardest thing to hear. I am inspired.

Congratulations! What a coup. I have always loved the vibrancy and fluidity of glass art. Thanks for the news Terra! Cheers! Suzanne
What a great suggestion! The Shoreline interurban trail is probably going to be the first walk we do. Any preferences for days or times?
Dang, I just read this, a month too late. I mighta, just to do something I fear. Let me know next time you host a reading.
How did it go, by the way?
Suzanne
I suggest talking with Terra Vita. She's a ghost writer and is sure to have advice to share with you. Good luck and congrats on your blogging achievement! SOB? I can't remember the letters. :-} Cheers! Suzanne
