Event description

Been sitting all week or just want to have your morning coffee with fellow biz folks to end your week on a friendly note?

Then let’s get moving! Join me for the first ‘Walk and Talk’ in West Seattle on Alki. A great view, and a great way to get your day going and your blood flowing with fresh ideas and fresh air. Let’s use this as an opportunity to get our bodies moving, reconnect with the outside world and with each other.

Please have your devices turned off. The focus is on face-to-face connection and being aware of our surroundings--not taking calls or twittering.

Meet outside the Alki Bakery (unless it’s pouring, rain sideways, then let’s meet inside). We'll depart for our walk at 9:05, heading toward the city (East) so grab your coffee first and be ready to go. If you are late, run and catch up!

Don't dress to impress--comfortable shoes and warm clothes are what these Walk and Talks are all about.

Rain, snow or shine.

Keep em coming, Sylvia. I suggest posting another Walk and Talk now for the following week to keep the momentum going.

I did that and both are filling up.

    Great to get people outside!

    Hi Jennifer!

Alki is fab isn't it! I look forward to walking and talking with you. Maybe we can come up with another cool Alki thing - Rollerblading & talking? ;-)

Looking forward to seeing you there!

    Hi Sam!

Would love it if you could join the posse that is gathering. It's going to be a great walk & talk!

Rollerblading + talking is an awesome idea, as long as I can find my wrist guards! Broken wrist + hairstylist = unemployed. ACK! :)

Jennifer - good call. We gotta think 'Safety First'. Perhaps it's best to stick to walking and talking (no gum chewing) and see how we do? :-) It'll be great to have you there!

There is a chance I won't make it tomorrow because I have been fighting a terrible cough for weeks that I may finally get checked out by the doc tomorrow. If she can only see me in the morning, then I'll have to catch you all at the next one. Hopefully I can get a later appointment though. I really want to get out with you all! :)

Have a great walk in the AM, Sylvia and W. Seattle crew. I will look for the next West Seattle Walk and Talk on the Events page--I highly suggest you post another one asap so you can ride the momentum. Maybe I can come down and join you one of these times!

Thanks again for making this event happen. I'm making some wonderful contacts and getting out -- this was a shinny spot in an otherwise grey day. I'm be there next time for sure!
