Let's exchange talents. I will donate to your nonprofit of choice if you will do the same to mine.
Have you heard of El Centro de la Raza? The agency serving the Latino Community for thirty six years. Last year, they provided services, food, shelter and a helping hand to almost twenty five thousand men, women and kids. A big thanks to the many generous biznik members who already kindly donated their products and services. I am collecting auction items for them. If you would like to help, please let me know.
Gift certificates, experiences, products, handyman services, etc. or your books and counseling services greatly appreciated. In return, you will be nourishing a community. We consistently have the lowest overhead of any non-profit in Seattle. The funds go directly to the clients.
Many of our programs serve infants through high school kids so supplies for children of any age are welcome. I am also putting baskets together and offerings of any size would be welcome. The baskets are themed and include picnic, kitchen, spa, kids, toddlers, outdoor and travel themes. Your donation would be very much appreciated and welcome.
Everything is tax deductible and we provide good clear receipts. The money will stay in the greater Seattle area, www.elcentrodelaraza.org.
Something new for El Centro de la Raza. How about donating to my non profit of choice and I will donate to your nonprofit of choice. Let's make collecting auction items fun.

I am finally ready to let go of my extra books (still keeping another 40 boxes). I hear there are some really good places to sell online. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Terra
Heads up for one of our members, Julie Cascioppo. Check out her biznik profile and her video. She is really fabulous. This would be a great thing to gather together and go.
Julie Cascioppo, at the Good Shepherd Center, Chapel, 4649 Sunnyside Ave North Seattle, WA -- Saturday June 27th 7:30PM $10.00 -- It’s a travelogue! It’s entertainment! It’s traveltainment!
It's "I Love Being Abroad: Hello Bali!," a 75-minute musical trip bursting with cultural information, exotic liaisons, and transcontinental transactions in Paris, Istanbul, India and Bali as seen through the eyes of Julie Cascioppo, one of Seattle's most revered cabaret performers. Cascioppo brings this new installment of her "I Love Being Abroad" series to the Good Shepherd Center, Chapel Saturday night, June 27. Her annual birthday show is highly anticipated by her rabid fans. Cascioppo's series takes the audience along with her while she sings in 5-Star hotels, pursuing romantic illusions and possibilities. "I loved the notion of singing in exotic nightclubs and meeting interesting people from every corner of the globe," says Cascioppo, "and free room service was good, too." Julie started her illustrious cabaret incarnations at the Pink Door back in 1982 and enjoyed an extended run through the 90s. She then set her sights on conquering new lands. Julie remembers, "I figured if I could make it at the Pink Door, I could make it anywhere, why not Paris?" That was the beginning of what would become her insatiable urge to combine travel and entertainment to the amusement and fulfillment of connoisseurs of the art of cabaret, jazz and humor. Looking to publish several articles multiple places. What do you use and do you like it? Publishing is part of the wealthy and wise formula so I bet somebody here has an idea. Thanks in advance.
I know of a few aggregators but not sure if anything new has popped up in the past few months. I want to publish articles to multiple sites but not all at once. Thanks in advance for answers.
Barbara Sanderson featured on June cover of Better Homes & Garden blows glass in Mukliteo.
Hey, we have a star in this area-many of you are of course. Glass artist extraordinaire, Barbara Sanderson, www.glassgardensnw.com will be featured on the June cover Better Homes & Garden, www.bhg.com. The magazine will hit the stands mid May.
A cover on a national shelter magazine is a major honor. Barbara's gorgeous work is well known throughout the Northwest and Canada. Now everyone will have a chance to see her whimsical glass carrots, elegant spheres, gorgeous flowers and glass orbs.
Local coverage is good for everyone-we all benefit. This is good for Snohomish County.

A friend and biznik person needs a new Mac-really needs it for the type of work she does. She can't afford it and I am wondering how everyone else is making their major purchases. I always believe there is a way if you really need something. I don't make assumptions but I know it is hard to spend several thousand dollars during a recession. Please, I would love to hear your thoughts and if you have anything specific to the Mac, let us know. She is in graphics so this working tool is really needed. Thanks and looking forward to your comments!
I have to read an article or pick up a thread as though I wanted to comment. Is this just me? It started several days ago.
I need a spreadsheet for financials for inclusion in a business plan. The business is seeking a financial angel and has prospects. The prospect wants a business plan, likes the idea already and is looking for the financial portion. Thanks for any links you could post here.
A friend in need seeks a good proactive attorney for child custody. She has been through a couple who take the money and run.... this is verified. Thanks. The last one came from the WA Bar Referral so she is worried about that one.
