I am an architect, writer, and speaker.

I specialize in designing and consulting on environmentally sustainable and healthy homes and small communities. Passive solar heating, straw bale walls, healthy finishes, and true old-world styling are some of the topics I am intimately familiar with.

Collaborators, freinds on a similar path, and possibly investors.

Fairly informal for what I do - I am a student of life rather than university. I did graduate from high school and attended trade school for drafting, and after that my business goals were reached through apprenticeship and individual study.

I have been involved in the home design world for the past 30 years, been in business for myself serving custom home clients since 1993, and deep in the sustainability side of design since 1995. I have been on the executive board of the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild since 2003, and served as its vice president since 2002. My work has been published in several local and national publications including conscious choice, daily journal of commerce, mother earth news, and natural home.
