Post your difficult person story and what you learned from the encounter

Recently, I heard Customer Service guru Mike Meines give a talk on customer service. He pointed out that we've all been the difficult person at one time or another. What's your best story as either being the "difficult person" or working with a difficult person? And, what did you learn from the encounter?

Curious-Any other DRC trained Mediators out there?

And what is your home DRC? Almost forgot, mine is the Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties. I was on the board for three years and the fundraising chair for a couple of years.

New in town, virtually . . .

Hi, I'm Theresa Petrey, currently an attorney in Ellensburg, but looking to move/expand my Kittitas County practice to the Puget Sound area for a number of reasons. My Puget Sound "office" is in Burien. Eventually, I'll be in East King County.

My primary practice areas are business and estate planning. I like anything with a finance/accounting component. I've been particularly blessed to have a few really great legal cases come through the office in very unusual areas of business law even though I started my practice in a very small town.

Life outside of lawyering has included a passion for film viewing and filmmaking, particularly independent film. I'm currently revising a screenplay that I'll be shopping to selected production companies. Although, I'd like to return to some of the labors of love and volunteer work I've done in film, I'll primarily be focusing on writing for a while. I am particularly enjoying programming my own mini-fest's at home with my Netflix subscription.

Other work/projects include biofuels plant development. I support the development of the wind energy industry in the Northwest.

I'm looking forward to spending more time exploring Eastern Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Florida and North Carolina as family members recently moved or plan to move to these locations. I particularly enjoyed Tampa and loved the beach at Clearwater. Baker City, Oregon totally fascinated me.
