Earning certification in electro-diagnostic testing, Dr. Levine uses needle electromyography to detect the loss of neurons innervating a muscle in the body. Levine looks for causes of axonal degeneration, which may be seen in cases of disc herniation, peripheral nerve injury, nerve root compression, or foraminal encroachment. Levine's certification in electro-diagnostic testing also includes nerve conduction studies.
