  • Applied Meditation and More

Most of us feel like we are capable of doing more than what we do. For creative business owners--and most small business owners are creative--the challenge is often less one of how to feel motivated and more one of how to get the most out of our abilities.

While the situation beyond myself is always changing, no one has more influence over what is going on within myself than I do. The extreme interaction between cultures over the last 60 years along with the advancements in neuroscience of the last 20 years or so have increased our knowledge of what is possible within each of us...exponentially. Our current situation allows us to take advantage of a worldwide knowledge of what is possible, but that knowledge has yet to become common knowledge.

How many people are interested in understanding and gaining from this explosion of verifiable advancements? I wonder if there are a few within the San Francisco area that would like to explore some of these possibilities as a group. I have posted a questionnaire online at http://mertzian.googlepages.com/questionnaire that begins to touch on attentional abilities that are evolutionarily and neuroscientifically based while being inspired and fulfilled by a variety of spiritual traditions.

The basic point is that we all have something to contribute with these abilities and something to learn from these possibilities. Who's interested?

What are the best questions business owners can ask themselves? other people? When has questioning really had a positive impact on yourself and your business?

  • San Francisco GIANTS

Where are the giants? I am moving to the Oakland/San Fran/Bay area next week. I really like what I've seen of folks on this site, and I want to meet the kind of people you guys like to meet. Great things always come from knowing great people.

For y'all in the Bay Area, where do you hang out and why? In doing what activities (besides Biznik events) have you met the people you want to stay in touch with forever or at least a real long time? Specific answers and general much appreciated.

When I was out there last, I went to Point Reyes, loved it, will be going back again.
