I am here at BizNik in two roles:

*Owner of Epiphany Research, a Seattle-based marketing research firm. Conduct both qualitatitve and quantitative opinion research. Both B2B and Consumer. I work with many advertising & branding firms to help them with brand development, concept testing, etc., as well as client direct. We have a Women's Research Panel called ChickChat -- it's our approach to conducting more meaningful and honest research with women. Ask us about our in-home ChickChat focus groups.

*President of the Board of Crooked Trails (www.crookedtrails.com) a Seattle-based non-profit that specializes in organizing and leading cultural immersion travel to developing countries. Crooked Trails helps people travel abroad in a more respectful and meaningful way. Most of our trips incorporate a community service project into the travel. Some examples: building a school in Nepal, bringing clean drinking water to a remote village in India, financing and building a weaver's co-op in Peru. Once you have traveled this way, you will be hooked. Meeting and living with the local people of the country you are traveling to. Learning how you can use your tourism dollars to benefit the local people. Working and playing alongside them - you realize how much we have here in the U.S., how people are essentially the same wherever you go (kind) and how much you have to give the world.

Interviewing people to get inside their heads to better understand their motivations, likes/dislikes and then pass on that knowledge to my clients.

Especially enjoy focus group moderating, and am a big believer in conducting focus groups in a more real world setting, in people's homes, in order to uncover more meaningful and honest feedback.
