I'm a mom, wife and entrepreneur with a pro-parent / pro-childhood company. I'm concerned about children having a childhood and about connecting with parents in order to turn the tide of marketers going directly to our children with adult themed fashions / products - I'd LOVE to see Mother and Father Approved as the marketing standard applied to OUR gold in this culture!

As a woman, I have found the best thing to say in response to this question is, "I clean a mean sink."

Okay - that was my old motto - new motto is, "if you're damned if you do and damned if you don't, I say, by all means, DO!!!" - it's on my blog. I shall no longer make apologies for the fact that I am blessed to have the talent in my family and to have been provided a great education and live in a country where I am free to do a lot of things well and that's that! Renaissance men, move over :-)

I need to connect with parents who share our concerns - to link up and speak up, in solidarity, on behalf of our children. Currently, I feel we are leaving them with more problems than were left to us while teaching them to "test" instead of think critically, problem-solve, etc. If WE can prove to them that it's possible to connect and problem solve together ourselves, the hope - the possibility and the real potential, as well - will be instilled, naturally.

I have a degree in journalism from SCU and another in fashion design from FIDM.

My experience includes design, production, sales, writing, art and a whole set of Girl Friday skills.
